Wedding gig at the Pump Rooms in Bath, March 2008

We play a lot of wedding gigs and have played in a range of interesting venues - Brighton Marina, the Royal Southern Yacht Club on the Hamble, Twickenham Stadium... However, a recent wedding gig at the world famous Pump Rooms in Bath was something special in terms of surroundings.

Since we are usually playing at private functions like weddings, parties or corporate events it's rare that we play at public events these days. However, that makes these opportunities all the more fun since it's a chance to let our hair down (what we have!), invite family, friends and prospective clients along to see us playing live. The photos below were taken at a pub gig just around the corner in November 2007.

Open-air music at the Nene Valley Railway's '60s Weekend, April 2007

In April 2007 the Nene Valley Railway asked us to play for their '60s festival weekend. We played on the main station platform over the two days of the event, performing a broad selection of tunes from the 1960s to the visitors and assembled passengers. All the time steam and diesel trains of the era ran through the station. We even managed to throw in a few appropriate numbers like the little known John Denver classic Leaving on a Jet Plane Steam Train...

All agreed that the music created the perfect ambience for the event and we're looking forward to returning to play at the 2008 event! Groovy baby!

Miscellaneous photographs...

Over the years we've played in a wide range of venues and circumstances. Here are a few examples ranging from the sublime to the (literally) ridiculous.  First up a charity concert organised by the kids in a school in Ascot in aid of tsunami victims...

Playing at the "Old Ticket Hall" in Windsor - on a "stage" which felt more like a minstrels' gallery and had us towering over the audience...

About a month after the Rolling Stones played there we were booked for a gig at Twickenham Rugby Stadium (sadly not on a huge stage at one end of the pitch). Here we are loading in - the Stones have more roadies too...

Some times we find ourselves sharing the bill with others at functions. Here are two of our odder ones...

A Burns Night Celebration at a Sergeants' Mess in Aldershot - complete with regimental piper.

Sharing the bill with charity ferret racing at a corporate Christmas do in Chobham
